1. Who we are

Zyric, Inc. ("Zyric," "we," "us") is a Delaware corporation that provides a subcontractor coordination platform for the construction industry, available at zyric.site and through related applications (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices available to you. It applies to our customers' users (general contractor personnel), to subcontractor and vendor personnel who interact with the Service (including text messages), and to visitors to our website.

A note for subcontractors: if you received a message through Zyric, your contact information was provided to us by the general contractor you work with (our customer). We process that information on the contractor's behalf to coordinate project work. The contractor controls its project data; this policy explains our part.

2. Information we collect

  • Information you provide: account details (name, work email, company, role), profile information, and the content of messages you send through the Service.
  • Information provided by our customers: business contact details of subcontractor and vendor personnel (name, company, trade, role, mobile number, email address) and project information (schedules, scopes, documents) uploaded by the general contractor.
  • Messaging records: the content, delivery metadata, and timestamps of texts and emails sent and received through the Service, and consent and opt-out records for text messaging.
  • Information collected automatically: log data (IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, timestamps) and essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and the Service secure. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

3. How we use information

  • To provide and operate the Service: coordinating project communications, delivering and receiving messages, scheduling follow-ups, and generating reliability and coordination signals for our customers.
  • To record and honor communication preferences, including text-message opt-ins and opt-outs.
  • To secure the Service, prevent abuse, debug, and provide support.
  • To comply with law and enforce our agreements.
  • To improve the Service using data that has been aggregated or de-identified so it no longer identifies any person, customer, or project.

We do not use your personal information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

4. AI-assisted processing

The Service uses machine-learning models, including models hosted by third-party API providers, to classify and route messages, extract commitments and schedule information, and match vendors to work. Message content processed for these purposes is handled under our instructions and our agreements with those providers, which prohibit use of the data to train the providers' own models.

5. Text messaging (SMS) disclosures

  • Text messages are sent only to individuals whose business contact details were provided by the general contractor they work with for project-related communications, or who have opted in directly.
  • Message frequency varies with project activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of being awarded work.
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP (or QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE) to any message, or by contacting us. Reply HELP to any message for help. Opt-outs are honored immediately.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Sharing of information with subcontractors and service providers that support the operation of the Service (such as our SMS delivery provider and customer support) is permitted solely to deliver the Service, as described in Section 6.

6. How we share information

We share personal information only as follows:

  • With the general contractor you work with: messages, responses, confirmations, and coordination signals are visible to the customer that runs the project, which is the point of the Service.
  • With service providers (sub-processors) that process data on our instructions to run the Service, listed below.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with law, lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy's commitments.

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Retention

  • Customer account and project data: for the life of the customer agreement, then deleted or returned within 30 days of termination, or earlier on request.
  • Message content and delivery logs: up to 12 months from sending, unless deleted earlier at the customer's request.
  • Text-message consent, opt-out, and suppression records: 5 years, retained as legal compliance records even if other data is deleted.
  • Encrypted backups: overwritten on a rolling basis within 35 days.
  • Aggregated or de-identified data: may be retained, as it identifies no one.

8. Security

We protect personal information with safeguards appropriate to an early-stage service handling business contact data: encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, access limited to named personnel with multi-factor authentication, environment separation, audit logging of message sends and data exports, and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, and we maintain an incident response process to act quickly if something goes wrong.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Text messages: reply STOP to opt out at any time (Section 5).
  • Email: use the unsubscribe link in non-essential emails.
  • Access, correction, deletion: contact us. Where we process data on a general contractor's behalf, we may need to route your request to them as the data controller, and will tell you if so. We honor verified requests regardless of where you live, and we respond within 30 days.
  • U.S. state privacy laws: depending on your state, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, and to non-discrimination for exercising them. We extend these rights to all users.

Users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

Zyric is a U.S. company; some of our engineering personnel work from Sweden. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies to our processing, we rely on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (operating, securing, and improving the Service and coordinating business communications), and consent (text messaging where consent is the basis). You may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing and to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. International transfers, where they occur, are protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved safeguards. Contact us to exercise these rights.

10. Children

The Service is a business tool. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify customers and active users through the Service or by email.
